maybe i'm just being selfish. what's wrong with him and me, against the world. i just don't have a good feeling about this. families have (well, my family has) a way of ruining everything.
saturday was better. w planned on coming back at around 11 for lunch, and then to take me to class. we fooled around for a bit when he arrived, until stomachs started growling. we found out we didn't have any food in the cupboard, but luckily we scrounged up a pack of soba way in the back. threw that in the pot and dumped a can of beans on it, and we were set. yeah, we're bean people. had about an hour before we needed to leave for campus, so he got online and found himself heading to the persiankitty site. then he followed a link to a page called "granny panties." iccck. i was so disgusted but he was humored. left the room and tried taking a nap. luckily i woke up in time, around 12:30. he was asleep too in the bedroom so i threw some balled-up underwear at him to wake him up. got ready and drove off in silence. once we reached s_______ hall i asked if he was heading back to the office; he said yes. we agreed to leave our instant messangers on so we could chat while i was in class. we kissed; things were better. class was allright. i sat in the back and wrote to w on and off. he surprised me by calling ticketmaster and getting us seats for the alanis show, in february. after he typed the message to me and i read it, i was about to "no shit!?!" right in the middle of class. we're gonna see alanis! (i love alanis). during break we made plans for the rest of the night. he found a middle eastern restaurant in the yellow pages that he wanted to try, so we finagled with directions on yahoo maps. after 4, the sun was still (barely) out so we braved the icy streets to walk on the bridge, overlooking the river and the dam. it was completely covered with snow, and beautiful. we hung out there for awhile, snuggling, until the cold got the best of us. we zigzagged through the quiet burbs until we found the restaurant ... almost completely hidden in a back lot. it didn't look like much on the outside, but it was pretty nice inside, with a lounge and everything. the food that was to come was a disappointment though ... plus the waitress had such an attitude. it wasn't necessarily directed at us, but we could tell she was steamed for some reason or another, and taking it out on all the customers. we kept the tip minimal. bought some japanese plum wine at the liquor store next to the center. tried some at home; it was strong and burned my chest. i let w have the rest. watched cops and america's most wanted, which always seems just as good, if not better than going out to the movies. then we caked 'til we passed out. | |
