- Awesome robot transformer… and it’s real! You can see them in the labs building this thing and then completing their first Optimus Prime and suddenly having to work out what the hell they could do with the damn thing that would be in any way useful. Looks quite sweet though. I guess.
- Dave Gorman off the telly has a Flickr account and posts regular pictures! After several pretty awesome projects in a row, it seems he’s now scouting around the nerdosphere looking for new stuff to play with. That Flickr has taken his fancy is pretty awesome…
- Ian McKellen talks about the problems of being openly gay in Hollywood “It is very, very, very difficult for an American actor who wants a film career to be open about his sexuality,” the gay British actor said. “And even more difficult for a woman if she’s lesbian. It’s very distressing to me that that should be the case.”
- The expolis agency have produced a kind of weird, if cool, flash mix-tape kind of thing. I’m surprised by how long I played with it… They sent it to me, which I normally find a bit weird and resist – it’s really unclear to me whether or not I was being marketed at or they just genuinely thought I’d like it. I don’t know that I know anyone at the agency. It’s pretty nice, though.
- Incredibly useful for the Silicon Valley run: Cal’s “I Am Caltrain” Essential for those who commute to and from San Francisco to the major heavyweight Internet and technology companies.
- Thumblicious – screencaps of popular sites in del.icio.us I only noticed this because something I’d written appeared in it (albeit briefly). I’m really interested in ways you can use screenshots to create an impression of a site quickly and effectively…

By ‘eck, Dave Gorman’s pictures are rather unextraordinary.
And what’s a nerosphere?
